The Bangladesh Police and Pyramid Club of Iran beat their respective 3rd round opponents to share the lead in the Asian Club Cup Hybrid Chess Championship on Friday’s round in Tornelo. Second seed Bangladesh Police overwhelmed Fekre Bartar of Iran 5 ½ – 1/2. Only a draw by Seyyed Amirreza Razavi with Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman prevented a shut out victory.

Super Knight CC of Sri Lanka edged RiChessMasters of the Philippines 3 ½ – 2 ½ for their second win and a tie for 3rd to 6th place with 4 match points.

The sister team from Sri Lanka, Super Knight CC2 defeated Iranian team Pishgam Novin, to likewise amass 4 match points

Bishan Chess Club (IRI) and Lion City Chess Meetup (SGP) drew their match and remained tied for 7th.
