SGCHessHub@JurongSpring defeated compatriots Lion City Chess Meetup 5.5-0.5. Since both teams are playing in the Singapore Chess Federation, they agreed to play over-the-board, which is allowed in hybrid chess tournaments.
Top seed Pyramid of Iran remained unbeaten after trouncing Super Knight CC of Singapore with a game score of 5 – 1.
Second seed Bangladesh Police, bannered by GM Enamul Hossain and GM Ziaur Rahman, likewise defeated Pishgam Novin of Iran with 4 wins and 2 draws for a 5 – 1 victory.
Fekre Bartar (IRI) won over Fars Youth, also of Iran 4 ½ – 1 ½.
Six Teams are not far behind with 2 match points to share 5th – 10 place. RiChess Masters of the Philippines (below left) won 5½ – ½ over Abdishmandan Sabzewar of Iran (below right) .
