Since the Chess Federation of Russia transferred last year from the European Chess Union to the Asian Chess Federation, Asian national chess federations have been anticipating participation of Russian players in Asian events.
The Chess Federation of Russia has registered players in all categories, boys and girls under-8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18, of the Asian Youth Chess Championship slated 12-22 December 2023 in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.
