Uzbekistan medalists will defend their crowns in the Asian Youth Chess Championship slated 12 to 22 December in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Uzbekistan children were the overall winners when the Asian Youth was held in 2017 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Since then the same youths won the Chess Olympiad last year in Chennai, India.
The 2023 event will be the strongest Asian Youth championships, with the new participation of Russian champions and a rising Mongolia.
