Bangladesh Police lead Golden Jubilee of Independence Premier Division Chess League

Reigning premier league champion Bangladesh Police is now solely lead in the points table with 17 points after end of the 9th round matches of the Golden Jubilee of Independence Premier Division Chess League powered by Shah Cement and organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation now being held at the Crown Hall-Room of Asia Hotel & Resorts in Topkhana Road, Dhaka. Bangladesh Biman is in 2nd psotion with 16 points and SAIF Sporting Club is in 3rd position with 14 points.

9th round matches were held today (Friday). In the 9th round matches, Bangladesh Police drew with SAIF Sporting Club by 2-2 game points. Indian GM D Gukesh of Bangladesh Police won against GM Enamul Hossain Razib of SAIF Sporting Club, Iranian GM Idani Pouya beat GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib of Bangladesh Police. Indian GM Erigaisi Arjun and GM Ziaur Rahman of Bangladesh Police drew with Georgian GM Mikheil Mchedlisvili and GM Reefat Bin Sattar of Saif Sporting Club.

Bangladesh Biman lost to Titas Club by 1½-2½ game points. FM Mohammed Abdul Malek of Titas Club beat FM Tahsin Tajwar Zia of Bangladesh Biman, FM Md Saif Uddin Lavlu, Indian IM Mohammad Nubairshah Shaikh and Indian GM Himanshu Sharma of Titas drew with IM Abu Sufian Shakil, Indian GM Abhimanyu Puranik Indian GM Mitabha Guha of Bangladesh Biman respectively.

Shahin Chess Club beat Sheikh Russel Chess Club by 2½-1½game points. Indian IM Aditya Mittal of Shahin Chess Club won against GM Diptayan Ghosh of Sheikh Russel Chess Club. CM Shawket Bin Osman Shaon, Indian IM V Pranav and FM Debaraj Chatterjee of Shahin Chess Club drew with Showat Hossaibn Pollab, Indian GM Shyam Sundar and Shafiq Ahmed of Sheikh Russel Chess Club respectively.

Rupali Bank Krira Parisad beat Janata Bank Officer Welfare Society by 2½-1½game points. Indian GM Srinath Narayanan and Anata Choudhury of Rupali Bank Krira Parisad won against Indian FM S Harshad and Mihir Lal Das of Janata Bank Officer Welfare Society respectively. FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman of Janata Bank Officer Welfare Society won against CM Sadnan Hasan Dihan of Rupali Bank Krira Parisad. Indian FM Panesar Vedant of Janata Bank Officer Welfare Society drew with Indian GM Sankalp Gupta of Rupali Bank Krira Parisad.

Manha’s Castle beat Uttara Central Chess Club by 3-1 game points. CM Sohel Chowdhury and Indian GM Harsha Bharathakoti of Manha’s Castle won against CM Manon Reja Neer and Indian IM Bharath Subramanyiam of Uttara Central Chess Club respectively. Indian GM Mendonca Leon Luke and Md. Masum Hossain of Manha’s Castle drew with Indian FM Nitish Belurkar and CM Ikramul Haq Siam of Uttara Central Chess Club respectively.

Leonine Chess Club beat Bangladesh Navy by 2½-1½game points. Indian IM Srijit Paul and Indian IM Aronyak Ghosh of Leonine Chess Club won against IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin and CM Md. Sharif Hossain of Bangladesh Navy. FM Subrota Biswas of Bangladesh Navy beat Asif Mahmud of Leonine Chess Club. Md. Abzid Rahman of Leonine Chess Club drew with FM Khandekar Aminul Islam of Bangladesh Navy.
