Asian Disabled Chess Championship Open, Women, Juniors & Girls Starts in Kyrgyzstan

The Asian Disabled Chess Championship for Open, Women, Juniors and Girls started today in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. A total of 79 players from seven countries, namely India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russians under neutral FIDE flag, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

The event will go on from 10 November 2024 (arrival) to 18 November 2024 (departure). The tournament is organized by the Kyrgyz Chess Union under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation and FIDE and supported by the FIDE Planning and Development Commission.

Categories of diasbility are

Visual Impairment: (men and women with disabilities with full or visually impaired (legally considered to be blind);

Physical Impairment: (men and women with disabilities with a lesion of the musculoskeletal system and others with physical disabilities);

Hearing Impairment: Category B (men and women with disabilities with full or weakened hearing loss (legally considered to be deaf).
