The Asian Schools Online Chess Championships starts today on Tornelo. A total of 888 boys and girls are competing from 24 countries, namely Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Syria, Thailand, Chinese Taipei and Uzbekistan.
The Girls Championship is scheduled in the weekend of 23-25 July while the boys (open) championship is scheduled 29-31 July 2021 on Tornelo.
The event is an individual and team championship combined. Team members shall not be paired against each other.
