Chess Dinner at Burj Khalifa, World’s Tallest Building

Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifah Al Nahyan hosted a dinner for chess friends last Sunday at the plush Armani Mediterraneo in the Armani Hotel at the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Attending were FIDE Council members Bachar Kouatly, Zhu Chen, Zurab Azmaiparshvili, Akaki Iashvili, FIDE Management Board members Dana Reizniece-Ozola, Mohd Al Mudahka, Berik Balgabaev, Willy Iclicki and Aleksandr Martynov, and Asian Chess family members Bharat Singh, Hisham Al Taher, Gary Wastell, Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh, Dhafer Al Madhloum, Sami Khader, Dr. Abdulla Alwahshi, Luxman Wijesuriya, Sahapol Nakvanich and Khusan Turdialiev.

Abdulrahim Mahdi, GMs Maurice Ashley and Alejandro, Semetei Tologon Tegin, Khalid Badieh, Eka Lal Shrestha, Gautam Prasad, and other guests who came for the World Championship Match also attended.
