Dhafer Al Madhloum was re-elected president of the Iraq Chess Federation in elections held 9th November 2022 in Baghdad, Iraq. Attending were 64 out of 67 members of the General Assembly. Observers at the elections were Mr. Ahmed Hussein Representative of Ministry of Youth & Sports, Mr. Ali Naeem Al Badri Representative of NOC Iraq and Mr. Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh, Executive Board member of the Asian Chess Federation.
