GM Srinath Narayanan of India Grabs Solo Lead in $55,000 Sheikh Russel International

GM Srinath Narayanan of India (above left) grabbed solo lead with maximum 4 points after end of the 4th round in the $55,000 Sheikh Russel International Grand Masters Chess Competition-2021. The event marks the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shahid Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Six players share 2nd position with 3½ points each. They are: Asadli Vugar and Iskandarov Misratdin of Azerbaijan, GM Mosadeghpour Masoud and IM Mousavi Seyed Khalil of Iran and GM Shyam Sundar and IM Mitrabha Guha of India.

Twelve players earned 3 points each. They are: GM Sergey Tiviakov of Netherlands (above right), GM Bernadskiy Vitaliy and GM Andrey Sumets of Ukraine, GM Rasulov Vugar of Azerbaijan, GM G A Stany, GM Debashis Das, GM P Karthikeyan, GM R R Laxman, GM Himanshu Sharma, IM Neelash Saha, IM Aditya Mittal of India IM Abdisalimov Abdimalik of Uzbekistan.

GM Niaz Murshed (above right), GM Eanmul Hossain Razib, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman and IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin earned 2½ points each after 4th round.
