The Sheikh Russell International Grand Masters Chess Competition is held under the auspices of Saif Powertech Limited and organized by Bangladesh Chess Federation.
Thirteen players are sharing 2nd position with 4½ points each. They are: GM Asadli Vugar, GM Iskandarov Misratdin and GM Rasulov Vugar of Azerbaijan, GM Bernadskiy Vitaliy and GM Andrey Sumets of Ukraine, GM Mosadeghpour Masoud and IM Mousavi Seyed Khalil of Iran, GM G A Stany, GM N R Vishak, GM Shyem Sundar, IM Aditya Mittal, IM Mitrabha Guha of India and GM Haznedaroglu Kivanc of Turkey. Among Bangladeshi players GM Ziaur Rahman earned 4 points, GM Ziaur Rahman, GM Enamul Hossain Razib and IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman earned 3½ points each.
