Kyrgyzstan Youth chess championship was held in the capital of Kyrgyzstan Bishkek from 2nd to 10th January 2023 organized by the Kyrgyz Chess Union. The event attracted 500 players from all seven regions of the country.
The event is made possible thanks to the «Mbulak» company which became a General Sponsor of the event. The official sponsor was the professional chess school ABchess.
The tournament was held at the Bilimkana American School with comfortable conditions for both children and parents.
The championship was monitored by the arbiters` team under the supervision of the Chief Arbiter Umarbekov Aziz (IA).
As part of the championship awards ceremony the results of 2022 were summed up. The awards were presented by the President of the Kyrgyz Chess Union Babyrzhan Tolbaev and honorary invited guests.
Team standings:
⠀1st place – Tilenbaeva Children’s Chess Center: gold – 5, silver – 2, bronze -5 (Total: 12 medals)
⠀2nd place – Chess school «GARDE»: gold – 2, silver – 5, bronze -1 (Total: 8 medals)
⠀3rd place – Issyk-Kul region team: gold – 2, silver – 1, bronze – 6 (Total: 9 medals)
⠀4th place – Children’s and Youth Sports School: gold – 2, silver – 1, bronze -2 (Total: 5 medals)
⠀5th place – chess school «Altyn-Tuyun»: gold – 1, silver – 1 (Total: 2 medals)
