Mongolian Leads 50+, Kazakh Leads 65+ at Halfway Mark of Asian Seniors

FM Nyamaa Tuvsanaa of Mongolia (below, right foreground) grabbed solo lead with a perfect score of 5 points in as many rounds at the halfway mark of the Asian Seniors Chess Championship 50+ group going on now in Terlj, Mongolia.

The Asian Seniors 50+ and 65+ Chess Championships are going on 9-19 August 2024 in Terelj, Mongolia with 43 players over 65 and 38 players over 50 players from nine countries, namely India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Philippines and Russia playing under neutral FIDE flag.
