SUMMER CUP CLASSICAL BELOW 1600 FIDE RATING OPEN CHESS TOURNAMENT 2023 in the loving memory of Late Sh. Ramesh Chander Sharma & late Dr. Prashant Bhardwaj, was held from 16th June, 2023 to 18th June, 2023, at Orbit Resort, Udaipur Rajasthan, Chess In Lake city organized the event. The tournament attracted total 572 players from All over the India including and 4 players from United States of America, South Africa. There were in all 389 International FIDE rated players.
Ojasya Saxena of Uttar Pradesh won the tournament with 8.5 points out of possible 9 clinch the title and cash prize of Rs. 1,11,000 INR & Coveted Trophy. Runner up of the event was Sujeet Kumar Chaudhari of Uttar Pradesh won Cash prizes of Rs. 71,000 INR & Trophy. M Tulasi Ram Kumar of Telangana won cash prizes of Rs.1,01,000 in rating category (1200 to 1399) & Saurabh Somvanshi from Uttar Pradesh won cash prizes of Rs.1,00.000 in rating category (1000 to 1199 ).Total 98 cash prizes with 75 trophy were given to winners in Different Rating & Age categories.
