Rapid Team Medals Awarded at the 28th Asian Youth Chess Championships 2026

Shenzhen, China – July 2026

The Rapid Team Medal Ceremony of the 28th Asian Youth Chess Championships 2026 was held in Shenzhen, China, celebrating the outstanding performances of Asia’s strongest youth chess federations in the Rapid competition.

The team standings were determined by the combined performances of the top three players from each federation in every age category. Following two days of exciting rapid chess, the medal-winning teams were honored during the official award ceremony in the presence of players, coaches, officials, and distinguished guests.

Vietnam emerged as one of the most successful federations in the Rapid Team competition, winning five gold medals, while China and Kazakhstan also produced excellent performances across multiple age groups. The results once again highlighted the growing strength and depth of youth chess throughout Asia.

The Asian Chess Federation congratulates all medal-winning teams, players, coaches, and federations for their outstanding achievements and thanks the Chinese Chess Association, the Organizing Committee, the arbiters, volunteers, and everyone involved for delivering an excellent Rapid Championship.

The Championships continue with the Standard Chess Competition, where the young talents of Asia are competing for the continental titles before the event concludes with the Blitz Championships.
