Registration for the 2nd Cebu Chess Society Cup is now open.
Entry fee for the two-day tournament slated on July 6-7 at the GMall of Cebu is pegged at P500 for the Open Category, P300 for the 17 & Under category, P250 for the 13 Under category and P200 for the 9 & Under category.

The event organizers will not be accepting onsite registration, and the deadline is set on June 30 or until all the slots are filled whichever comes first.
Over P125,000 in cash prize will be given away to the winners in all categories. The champion in the open division will take home P20,000, while second to fifth will get P15,000, P10,000, P7,000 and P5,000, respectively. The top five finishers in the 17 & Under will pocket P7,000, P5,000, P3,000, P2,000 and P1,500. The top five finishers in the 13 & Under will get P5,000, P3,000, P2,000, P1,500 and P1,000 while the winners in the 9 & Under age-groups will receive a prize of P3,000, P2,000, P1,000, P800 and P700. The top 5 in all categories will each receive a customized medal.
