Teams have started arriving in Maldives for the Western Asia Youth Chess Championship starting 16th June in Male organized by the Maldives Chess Association under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation and FIDE,

Players and accompanying adults look forward to a week of chess holiday combined with swimming at the picturesque island of Ukulhas and luxurious hotel. There will be Rapid, Standard and Beach Blitz championships. Some days with only one round in the morning will give players the whole afternoon to swim in the beach.
