Western Asian Youth Chess Championship Starts in Sri Lanka

The Western Asia Youth Chess Championship has started in Colombo, Sri Lanka organized by the Sri Lanka Chess Federation under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation and FIDE. In the Standard chess event, a total of 320 players are participating from ten countries, namely Bangladesh, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and host Sri Lanka. Russian players are competing as neutral individuals.
