
Arvie Lozano of the Philippines scored a perfect 5.0 points to win the 3rd Vientiane Open FIDE Rated Standard Chess Tournament held from May 31 to June 1,2025 at National Olympic Committee, Vientiane Capital, Laos.

WNM Lozano, who plays for the Manila Load Manna Knights in the Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP), pocketed the 1 million kip purse and the trophy for winning the FIDE standard tournament with over 45 participants.
She defeated Sean Michael Manalo of the Philippines in the first round, Mark Goodrich of England in the second round, Woman Candidate Master Inthavong Maly of Laos in the third round, Phaktong Vilaphen of Laos in the fourth round and Yupan Fan of China in the fifth and final round.
Lozano is a former mainstay of the multi-titled Rizal Technological University during her College days.
Souminta Yomvilath of Laos place second with 4.5 points followed by Zirui Wang of China, Yupan Fan of China, Bounthanh Inthavong of Laos, Khonsavanh Senglek of Laos and Zhiyuan Tan of China who got 4.0 points apiece.
