Asian Academies Hybrid Chess Team Championship Starts

The Asian Academies Hybrid Chess Championship has started on Tornelo. The event is hosted by the Bangladesh Chess Federation under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation and FIDE. Eight teams are playing a single round robin over four boards with board 4 reserved for girls. Teams are composed of players under-18 years of age. Games are played 10am daily (Dubai time) with time control of 60 minutes plus increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.

In photo above, the Elegant International Chess Academy and Basir Memorial Chess Academy, both from Bangladesh, face each other over-the-board as allowed in hybrid chess.
