Dr. Muhammad Ayoub Won his Second Masters Round Robin Championship in Row

Balochistan Chess Association (BCA) is establishing new records in the region, organized three Fide Rated Classical tournaments in just 40 days, in close collaboration with the Chess Federation of Pakistan (CFP), under the umbrella of the Asian chess federation, and support from Balochistan Sports Board

After the 2-4 April 16 players Round Robin event, won by Dr. Muhammad Ayoub with a score of 15/15, BCA organized the 2nd Balochistan Masters Round Robin from 22nd April to 25th April, where 15 of the top players were invited to claim the crown. This time the Journey to the Crown was not straightforward for Dr. Muhammad Ayoub, when he lost a drawn endgame to Musawir khan, in round 2. Though he recovered well and remained unbeaten in the rest of the tournament with 12 points out of fourteen, winning second round Robin master event in a row, while 61 years old Ali Madad secured second place, and Musawir Khan got the third position. All three top same positions in the first Round Robin event as well.

The total prize fund of the event amounted to 300 USD.

In the two Mega Round Robin EvensYousuf Baloch (DOB 1955) and Hazrat Ali (DOB 1948), got record Fide rating with age 70 and above, which is showing their determination and love for chess.

Honorable President BCA, and Member Provincial Assembly Balochistan, Mir Akthar Hussain Langovecongratulated the winner Dr Muhammad Ayoub and other seniors for their determination and stamina. He said that Balochistan chess association is on track to achieve excellence in chess, where organizing 3 Mega classical events with yielding some 25+ Fide rated players in just 40 days, when in whole 74 years history of Balochistan, there were only 2 fide rated players in this regionHe also thanked Mr. Amin Malik VP CFP and Fide Delegate for his continuous support for chess improvement in this region.

Senior Vice President Malik Anwar Saleem Kasi congratulated the winners and announced that BCA will host the All Pakistan Fide Rated Chess Championship in June 2021, to introduce the provincial talent on a national level.
