FIDE Arbiters Seminar Online in Arabic

FIDE and Asian Chess Federation are conducting a FIDE Arbiters Seminar by FIDE Rules Commission Chairman Abdulrahim Mahdi in Arabic language online in Zoom.

The seminar was opened 17 Oct. by FIDE Executive Director Victor Bologan and FIDE Arbiters Commission Chairman Laurent Freyd.

Attending the brief opening ceremony were Asian Chess Federation Executive Director Casto Abundo and Treasurer Mehrdad Pahlevanzadeh.

Twenty four participants from 13 federations are attending the seminar, namely from France, Qatar, Yemen, Jordan, Palestine, Oman, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Mauritania and United Arab Emirates.

The seminar covers the Laws of Chess (including Rapid and Blitz), Tournament Rules, System of Games, tie breaks, Swiss System and Pairing Rules, Regulations for the rating and over-the-board title, Regulations for the titles of Arbiters and Fair Play guidelines for Arbiters in four days followed by an exam. The Seminar will provide norms for the FIDE Arbiter title.
