FIDE Rated Kashmir Day Cup Chess Championship 2021

Chess Federation of Pakistan continued onboard chess tournaments during the COVID 19 and kept players’ motivation and morale high. While after a pandemic in continuation of onboard chess tournaments CFP came up with its full might.
CFP conducted its 3 days first National Chess Championship February 05, 06, and 07 on Kashmir Solidarity Day named ‘’FIDE Rated Kashmir Day Cup Chess Championship 2021’’.
The tournament was divided into three categories Open, Women, and Juniors. More than 90 Chess players participated in open Category, 8 players in women and 11 players participated in junior categories. Prize money for the event was 630 USD.
In the open category prize money was 186 USD Dollar, 94 USD Dollar and 47 USD for 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank achievers. There were also prizes for 4 to 10th rank in the open category. Shehzad Chouhan, Khalilur Rehman Butt and Tanveer Gilani secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd Ranks in the Tournament respectively.
In Women Category Prize money was 38 USD, 25 USD, 20 USD for 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank achievers respectively. Mehak Gul, Tasneem Ahmed, and Anum Amjad secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd Ranks respectively in the Tournament.
In Junior Rank Category Prize money 19 USD, 13 USD, and 8 USD for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rank achievers. Rehan Khan Nasir, Hussain Shahid, and Abdullah Zubair secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd Ranks respectively in the Tournament.
