Imperial beats Landicho in Chess for a Cause

Manila—Candidate Master Genghis Imperial (photo above) of Manila Indios Bravos beat Israel Landicho of Cavite Spartans in the race-to-12 Chess For A Cause, Friday, April 9, 2021 at the lichess.org platform.

The match lasted 6 and a half hours according to Bayanihan Chess Club secretary general FIDE Master Robert Suelo Jr. in this 1-day event, 5 minutes plus 2 seconds increment time control format coinciding with the celebration of Araw ng Kagitingan.
