India won the over-all championship in the 2021 Asian Youth Online Girls Chess Championships held 22-24 October 2021 on Tornelo by the Asian Chess Federation in association with the All India Chess Federation.
Indian girls won 2 golds, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals. Kazakhstan also got 2 gold medals but was relegated to second with only 2 silver medals. The gold and silver medal of Vietnam enabled them to get the 3rd place edging 4th placer Iran with 1 gold and 2 bronze medals. China and Sri Lanka both took home a bronze medal.
A record number of 891 players from Australia, China, Chinese Taipei, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Kazkhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Vietnam participated in the event.
