The Thailand Chess Association has held an over-the-board tournament, the 1st Chinag Mai Friendly Chess Tournament, 3, 4 and 6 April in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Jonathan Bodemar won the Open section, Tanawat Sankham won the Under-14 section, Chatchaya Abhiromasawat won the Under-12 section, Punyathon Kaenratana won the Under-12 section while Ornpattraikulra Sethak and Phuwin Louwakul tied for first in the Under-7 and Under-8 sections.
