Three Teams Maintain Lead in Asian Club Cup Hybrid Chess Championship

The Pyramid team of Iran (photo above), Bangladesh Police and Singapore Chess Hub maintained their lead with 10 match points each after six rounds of the Asian Club Cup Hybrid Chess Chamionship on Tornelo.

Pyramid of Iran rested their board 2 Grandmaster but still overwhelmed the all women team Pishgam Novin  6 : 0 to lead with one game point ahead of Bangladesh Police.

SGChessHub@JurongSpring defeated 5th round co-leader Super Knight CC. Playing without their top two boards they managed to eke out a 3 ½ : 2 ½ win for a share of 1st to 3rd place. Opposing teams are in one Zoom breakout room and can watch that each of their opponents comply with Fair Play regulations.

Bangladesh Police defeated Super Knight CC2 of Sri lanka 4 ½ : 1 ½ to attain 2nd place with only 1 game point separating them from the leader.

Fekre Bartar defeated  Bishan Chess Club, also of Iran, 5 games to 1, to tie for 5th to 9th place.

Fars Youth (IRI) beat Andishmandan Sabzevar (IRI)  4 ½ : 1 ½ to move up to 8th place.

Philippine team RiCHessMasters trounced Check.mate.club of Iran 6 : 0 to improve their ranking to 5th place.

Lion City Chess Meetup of Singapore dealt Borna Sabzevar its 6th loss for a total of 6 match points.
