Four way tie for lead in Asian Club Cup Hybrid Chess Championship

The battle for first place tightens as four teams share the lead with 8 match point apiece, namely, SCFhessHub of Singapore, Bangladesh Police, Pyramid of Iran and Super Knights of Sri Lanka.

SGCHessHub@JurongfromSpring, playing at the Singapore Chess Federation headquarters above, handed 4th round solo leader Bangladesh Police their first loss 3 ½  : 2 ½ to share the lead with 8 match points.

Pyramid team of Iran (photo below) wiped out Bishan Chess Club of Singapore, winning all their games for their 8th match point and a share of the lead.

Sri Lankan team, Super Knight CC defeated Iranian Fekre Bartar 4 : 2 and is currently in 4th place due to a lower tie break.

Pishgam Novin edged out Philippine RIChessMasters 3 ½ : 2 ½ to remain at fifth place with 6 match points.

Super Knight CC2 (SRI)  drew with Lion City Chess Meetup (SGP)  to tie for 6th-7th place with Bishan Chess Club.

Iranian teams Andishmandan Sabzevar and check.mate.club also drew their match and remained tied for 12th  and 13th place

Fars Youth earned their 2nd win over Borna Sabzevar (5 ½ : ½) who suffered their 5th loss in the event.
